Abstract Submission 

In order for your abstract to be considered, please email your abstract no later than 15th January 2017 to the conference secretariat at:

fssic2017@mech.ce.nihon-u.ac.jp


Abstract Requirements 

Two-page extended abstract (A4, single-space, 1-inch gap all-round), with one or two figures. The abstract should give a clear indication of the objective, scope, and results reported in the paper so that readers can determine whether the full paper will be of interest. Keywords for indexing, abstracting, and retrieval purposes should be included on a separate line at the end of the abstract text (abstract template & abstract sample).


Abstract Acceptance 

Upon abstract acceptance, at least one of the co-authors is expected to register as a presenter of the symposium. Accepted abstracts will appear in the FSSIC Book of Abstracts provided to the participants during the conference.


Invitation to Prepare a Full-Length Paper

Authors who submitted an abstract presenting an original and outstanding contribution will be invited by the FSSIC Scientific Committee to submit a full-length paper. After successful peer review, these papers will be published in a prestigious Springer-Verlag book (for the Proceedings of the 3rd FSSIC symposium, please see this page).


Full-Length Manuscript Submission

In order to prepare and finalize your paper to the format specified by Springer. Please follow the manuscript template in the Author Kit. If you are a LaTeX user, please also download the LaTeX template. We accept a maximum of 5 pages although 4 is preferred. For submission, please include the five items listed below:
1. Manuscripts in Word or LaTex files are acceptable (each article should have corresponding author with his/her e-mail address, abstract, key words and reference list), PLUS the checklist file with all items confirmed and ticked. 
2. PDF version of your manuscript. 
3. Separate figure source files (with a minimum resolution of 400dpi). 
4. Permissions acquired from any third-party by the authors (permission) should be obtained from the copyright holder when authors excerpts figures/tables etc. from copyrighted works). 
5. Consent to publish signed between the conference organizer and the Corresponding author (see attachment).

At first, please send your Full-length paper saved in PDF format to the conference secretariat by the dead line.

Peer Review & Reversion of the Full-Length Paper

All submitted full-length papers will be sent for peer review by experts in the relative field and the review comments will be returned back to the corresponding author around June 15. We would ask the author/s to submit a revised version addressing the reviewer comments/suggestions along with a simple response to reviewer’s questions by July 15. The final decision will be made on the reviewer’s commendation as well as reversion of the paper. Accepted papers will be published in a prestigious Springer-Verlag book serving as the Proceedings of the 4th FSSIC symposium.
